The sunset over Mobile Bay - a relaxing moment for pier visitors |
One of the most exciting moments at the pier is the Jubilee. This is an event in which the fish come in to the beach by the thousands, and everyone rushes to catch as many as they can. The concrete pier that exists now was built in 1969, but the pier had a somewhat different look back in the 1920's. Midway of the pier is the Yardarm Restaurant, one of the many great places to dine in Fairhope.
